Recipient: Yonah Balsam

Yonah is passionate about educating children and watching them grow.  She loves motivating them to learn.  Yonah says that her classroom consumes her and that they are going to have to force her to retire.  The smiles of her students continue to inspire her to teach with excellence and with love.  She believes that if a teacher creates an environment that instills a love for learning and builds up positive self-esteem in each student, then you have set students up for a great life.  Yonah is honoured to be a teacher and says that she never complains about going to work where she lives out her passion.
